Photo from Lawn Summer NightsIt’s July and Lawn Summer Nights, the swanky lawn bowling fundraiser benefiting Cystic Fibrosis Canada, is in full swing! Or should I say roll?

Inspired by Eva Markvoort (aka 65_RedRoses), this annual fundraising event was started in Vancouver four years ago by friends Duncan Gillespie, Andrew Dalik, Graham Dalik and director Philip Lyall.

This year, the event expanded to Toronto giving even more people a chance to join in the fundraising fun.

Since 2009, Lawn Summer Nights has raised over $105,000 for CF research. Congratulations to all of the teams for this outstanding achievement!

We’re not the only ones excited about Lawn Summer Nights. Check out some of the praise it’s received so far…

Here’s a great blog post with lots of gorgeous event photos from Pull it Together:

This is a very special, Special Feature.

Lawn Summer Nights is a lawn bowling fundraiser benefitting Cystic Fibrosis Canada. The event began in 2009, in Vancouver and has raised significant funds and awareness of the disease. The event is simple, two hundred people in their twenties and thirties, over four Thursdays in July, wearing classic leisure attire enjoy lawn bowling!

Participants enjoy the outdoors, music and classic cocktails while raising funds for a national health charity.

But this amazing group of people don’t just gather for Cystic Fibrosis, they gather to celebrate the life of a beautiful young woman who lost her life long battle with Cystic Fibrosis in 2010.

This is her story . . .(FULL ARTICLE)

And one of Vancouver’s top society reporters, Malcolm Parry, wrote this piece for The Vancouver Sun:
